WAVI Memory FAQ

Dr Stacy Harris

1. What is a WAVI qEEG brain map?

A WAVI qEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) is a non-invasive test that measures brain activity, processing speed, and cognitive function. It gives us real data about how your brain is functioning—not just how you feel—so we can create a targeted treatment plan.

2. What does a brain map actually show?

Your brain map shows how different areas of your brain are communicating and functioning. It can identify patterns related to attention, focus, memory, anxiety, mood regulation, and overall brain performance.

3. Is the test safe?

Yes. WAVI brain mapping is completely safe, painless, and non-invasive. It simply records your brain activity using sensors placed on the scalp—nothing goes into your body.

4. Who should consider a qEEG brain map?

Brain mapping is helpful for both children and adults experiencing:
ADHD or focus issues
Anxiety or depression
Memory or cognitive concerns
Brain fog or fatigue
Behavioral or emotional challenges
Concussion or head injury recovery

5. How long does the test take?

The full WAVI brain assessment typically takes about 20–30 minutes, with additional time to review your results and discuss next steps.

6. Will I get my results right away?

Yes. One of the advantages of WAVI is that results are available immediately. We review your brain map with you so you can clearly understand what’s happening and what we recommend next.

7. How is this different from other ADHD or mental health evaluations?

Most evaluations rely on questionnaires and observation. WAVI adds objective data—we measure how your brain is actually functioning. This allows us to move beyond guesswork and create more precise, effective treatment plans.

8. What happens after the brain map?

Your results guide your personalized care plan, which may include:
Neurofeedback (brain training)
Therapy or counseling
Brain-body rehabilitation exercises
Nutritional or lifestyle recommendations
Everything is tailored to how your brain specifically works.

9. Can brain mapping track progress?

Yes. One of the most powerful benefits of WAVI is that we can retest and measure improvement over time, so you can see real, objective changes in your brain function.

10. Does insurance cover WAVI brain mapping?

Coverage varies depending on your insurance plan. Our team can help you understand your benefits and discuss affordable options if needed.
